It does indeed melt on the skin, but it is just slightly elevated petroleum jelly. I guess the waxes in it help it to melt. It does work well for burned or peeling skin, like after a dermatologist`s procedure or sunburn, where protection and moisture is needed with a minimum of rubbing. In that way it is much superior to Vasoline. But I wouldn`t wear either under clothes.
Pros: Melts easily. Provides skin protection and moisture to sensitive skin.
Cons: Merely glorified petroleum jelly. Only really suited for those needing the most basic treatment.
